The Delta Workforce Investment Area has strived to serve not only adults and dislocated workers, but youth as well. DWIA has outstanding youth programs serving youth in 14 counties. Various agencies assist in making the following programs possible.

• Tutoring, study skills, and dropout prevention
• Alternative secondary school activities
• Summer employment opportunities directly linked to academic and occupational learning
• Paid/unpaid work experience in public/private sectors
• Occupational skills training with local schools throughout the year
• Leadership development opportunities including community and service learning
• Supportive services to participants
• Adult mentoring during and/or after program completion
• Follow-up services for 12 months after program completion
• Comprehensive guidance and counseling
